Technical Business Analyst
Location: Huddersfield, UK (3 to 4 days per week on-site)

As we continue to expand, we're looking for a talented Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to help shape the future of our systems and processes.

What You'll Do
As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll act as the key link between business needs and technical solutions, delivering scalable, effective improvements across systems and processes.
Elicit and Document Requirements
* Gather and prioritise business and system needs via interviews, workshops, and document analysis
* Produce clear artefacts, such as UML diagrams and process flows
Feasibility and Gap Analysis
* Conduct cost-benefit and risk assessments
* Define current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) states, identifying integration points and required changes
System Design and Collaboration
* Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to shape solutions
* Ensure designs align with existing technical standards and data architecture
Testing and Quality Assurance
* Create and refine test cases, acceptance criteria, and UAT plans
* Support defect tracking, resolution, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise confidently with Director-level sponsors, technical teams, and end users
* Provide clear, consistent updates and manage escalations effectively
Change Management and Continuous Improvement
* Drive adoption through training and documentation
* Capture feedback post-implementation and refine processes as needed
About You
Technical Acumen
* Confident in interpreting technical documentation and identifying system enhancements
* Proficient in modelling techniques (e.g. UML, BPMN)
Analytical Thinking
* Able to break down complex challenges into actionable steps
* Strong understanding of cost/benefit analysis and risk management
Communication and Collaboration
* Excellent at translating technical details for non-technical stakeholders
* Skilled in presenting user stories, solution designs, and roadmaps
Ownership and Accountability
* Takes initiative across the full project lifecycle—from requirements to post-implementation review
* Collaborates with project managers and SMEs to keep delivery on track
Process-Oriented
* Able to clearly map As-Is and To-Be business processes
* Experienced in both agile and waterfall methodologies
Continuous Learner
* Open to growth and upskilling in areas such as AI, Microservices, Cloud Infrastructure, and Agile practices
* Eager to adopt new tools and methodologies
Desirable Experience
* SQL: Reading or writing queries to validate requirements
* UX/CX Concepts: Familiarity with user journey mapping and customer-centric design
* Integration: Experience working with APIs, middleware, or data flows between platforms
* Retail/E-commerce: Knowledge of systems like order management, inventory, or fulfilment
