About the Team
Turnaround & Performance Improvement (TP&I) sits within our Strategy& Value Creation (S&VC) Business Unit in Deals. We support large and mid-market organisations in the UK and internationally tocreate, protect, and accelerate value, particularly during periods of disruption, underperformance, or transition.
Our team partners closely with senior executives to deliverrapid, hands-on operational change—from stabilising performance and generating cash, to reducing costs, managing stress, and maximising value pre- and post-transaction. We combine deep sector insight with specialist functionalexpertiseto help leaders makedifficult decisionsand implement change at pace, deliveringmeasurable and sustainable outcomes.
About the Role
Organisations are facing increasing pressure to adapt amid economic volatility, geopolitical uncertainty, and intensifying competition. In response to growing client demand, we are expanding our TP&I team across ourUK regional offices.
As aManager, you will work with a diverse range of clients alongside leading practitioners across PwC, primarily within Deals. You will play a critical role across theend-to-end TP&I lifecycle—from diagnosing performance issues andidentifyingvalue opportunities, through to supporting and leading implementation.
This is a delivery-focused role. You will be expected to take ownership of workstreams, manage stakeholders, and ensure tangible, quantifiable benefits are realised for our clients. We pride ourselves on being atrusted, hands-on delivery partner, not just an advisory voice.
What your days will look like:
1. Manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior client executives
2. Provide sector and functional insight to operational transformation and value creation programmes
3. Analyse complex financial and operational information to develop clear, actionable recommendations
4. Conduct market, operational, and client analysis toidentifyperformance improvement opportunities
5. Perform cash flow and liquidity analysis, financial baselining, sensitivity analysis, and forecast reviews
6. Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports for senior stakeholders
7. Build andmaintainstrong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across the Firm
8. Leverage PwC’s broader capabilities to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions
9. Lead, coach, and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
10. Oversee project economics, governance, and delivery quality
11. Support marketing, business development, and proposition development activities
This role is foryouif:
12. Experience supporting clients throughoperational transformation or performance improvement initiatives
13. Strong financial and operational analytics capability
14. Knowledge of working capital management, supply chain optimisation, procurement, and debt management
15. Experience managing complex change programmes and senior stakeholders
16. Comfortoperatingin ambiguous, high-pressure environments with competing priorities
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong PowerPoint capability
18. Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams
19. Ability toleveragedigital tools and data to enhance client delivery and insight
