Water and Environmental Investigation Lead
Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced WINEP Investigation Lead to join their Catchment and Environment Management team. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Company’s Water Resource WINEP investigation Programme.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the appointed contractor(s) to deliver the Water Resource WINEP programme, ensuring safe and timely delivery by the agreed regulatory output dates, within budget, and meeting environmental regulator standards.
2. Lead liaison with project partners regarding aspects of the AMP8 WINEP programme, including participation in project Steering Group meetings.
3. Support the Water Resource WRMP24 and WRMP29 programmes, including development and management of these processes.
4. Assist with WRMP tasks, such as options appraisal.
5. Engage technically with environmental Regulators (primarily Environment Agency and Natural England) for successful programme completion.
6. Engage with stakeholders interested in the WINEP programme, including cost, schedule, technical coordination, liaison, risk management, contract change control, and acting as Service Manager under NEC4 PSC.
What do you need?
Skills & Competencies
* Project management experience, especially in environmental studies.
* Experience managing consultancy contracts under NEC4 Professional Services Contract.
* Strong administration and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and related tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK driving license.
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree (or equivalent) in environmental science, water resources, geography, ecology, or related disciplines.
* Over 5 years of experience in environmental assessment, regulatory roles, or similar, with leadership or project management experience.
* Experience implementing projects under NEC4 contracts, especially PSC.
