Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Call Handler - Customer Services

Company: South Central Transfers

Location: Remote (Work from Home) – occasional meetings at client offices

Working Hours: 07:00 – 15:00 (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

South Central Transfers is looking for a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our transport operations. This role is primarily remote and involves coordinating with local authorities, drivers, and internal team members to ensure smooth service delivery.

The position would suit someone who is confident communicating professionally, enjoys structured administrative work, and is comfortable using Apple-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Handling incoming calls and emails from local authorities and clients
* Providing professional and clear communication when dealing with council officers and other stakeholders
* Managing and updating transport schedules and route information
* Maintaining accurate administrative records and documentation
* Supporting operational coordination with drivers and transport managers
* Assisting with general office administration tasks
* Preparing and organising information for meetings when required
* Occasionally attending meetings at client offices when necessary

Essential Requirements

* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Confidence speaking on the phone with local authorities and professional clients
* Experience using Apple software (MacOS, iCloud, Apple Mail, Pages, Numbers, etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently from home and manage workload effectively
* Good attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable Skills

* Previous experience in transport, logistics, or school transport coordination (but not essential).
* Experience dealing with local authorities or public sector organisations (but not essential).
* Familiarity with scheduling systems or operational software

Additional Information

This is a remote position; however, from time to time you may be required to attend meetings at client offices. Candidates should therefore be comfortable travelling when required.
