Field Services Engineer
Salary: Starting from £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2027 with potential for extension
Location: Various locations around Dorset (including Weymouth, Portland and Lulworth) with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays
The Opportunity
A technical and hands-on role supporting advanced training systems used across key military training establishments.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will provide in-service support for specialist training equipment located at multiple UK sites. You will assist users during exercises, maintain systems to required standards, and ensure safe and reliable operation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver in-service technical support for precision gunnery and armoured vehicle training systems at designated UK sites
* Provide on-site user support and assist in training activities when required
* Conduct scheduled maintenance and attend call-outs across various UK locations
* Uphold a safe system of work and comply with all quality, environmental, and health and safety standards
Qualifications
* Formal qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent practical experience
* Background in electro-mechanical engineering with strong electronics bias
* Ex-military technical experience (such as RAC Gunner Mechanic or REME trades) desirable
* IOSH Working Safely
* Full UK driving licence
* Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Strong communication and reporting skills
