Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join our client's team delivering a series of Highways schemes across the North West region. This role will involve supporting road and drainage upgrades, traffic management interfaces, and general civil engineering works on live carriageways.
Responsibilities
* Setting out for highways and drainage works using GPS and robotic total stations.
* Producing and maintaining QA documentation, as-built records, and ITPs.
* Assisting with RAMS, permits, and technical queries on site.
* Working closely with the Site Agent and Supervisor to ensure programme and quality targets are met.
* Supporting both day and night operations, ensuring safety and compliance in live traffic environments.
Requirements
* Previous experience on Highways schemes.
* Proficient in setting out, surveying, and QA documentation.
* Valid CSCS card (minimum), with SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
* Strong understanding of health & safety and traffic management protocols.
* Flexibility to work a mix of days and nights as required.
