Overview
Join Cornwall Council as the Learning & Development Administrator for Adults. The role sits in the Practice Education & Development Team (PEDT) within the Safe and Caring Communities directorate, under Adult Social Care and Support. The team provides specialist information, advice and guidance on learning and development opportunities and requirements to the directorate.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Practice Education & Development Team and broader service.
* Be the first point of contact for learners and managers, primarily via email, offering skilled listening, understanding requirements, signposting, and delivering specialist information and guidance.
* Support recruitment processes for Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, ensuring smooth interview logistics and feedback to candidates; assist in aligning successful recruits to vacant posts in collaboration with the lead panel member.
* Assist in developing and implementing the International Recruitment framework, learning from other Local Authorities and exploring joint working opportunities.
* Ensure processes are in place to support smooth operation of interviews and related activities.
* Other administrative duties as required by the Learning and Development Lead and Specialist Professional Development Lead.
Working Pattern
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working arrangements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 2 qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience in the relevant discipline.
* Significant experience in an administration role.
* Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
The position is subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.
