We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our small friendly kitchen team in our new pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation.
Pay negotiable dependent on experience.
Duties
Supervise junior staff with daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in all menu items
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Monitor inventory levels and stock control to minimise waste.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
To work with the family in developing new and interesting dishes and menus
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
Proven background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management effectively.
