Job Description
We are supporting a major nuclear infrastructure programme based near Hinkley Point C, delivered by one of the UK's leading energy organisations.
This opportunity is ideal for a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance professional with experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments, supporting compliance, governance, and continuous improvement across complex engineering projects.
You will play a key role ensuring quality standards are maintained across project teams and suppliers, supporting one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support deployment and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 19443, and regulatory requirements
* Conduct and support internal and supplier audits
* Monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities
* Support project teams in implementing quality processes and best practice
* Interface with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams
* Produce reports and quality documentation using Microsoft Office and reporting tools
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the programme
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* 5–9 years' experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, or Compliance role
* Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
* Experience with ISO 9001 or similar recognised quality standards
* Experience working in regulated or safety-critical industries (nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, or similar)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Experience using SharePoint and collaborative platforms
Required Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in the nuclear sector
* Familiarity with ISO 19443
* Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools
* Experience using Jira, Confluence, or Atlassian tools
* Experience supporting supplier quality or audit programmes
* Understanding of working in highly regulated environments
