TP Tutors are seeking educators who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives by helping them achieve their academic goals and improve their attendance.
This role involves working closely with students on a 1-1 basis, providing high-quality sessions in English and Maths to maximize their potential and engagement. It includes working with children outside of a mainstream setting.
You will tutor learners in their homes or local libraries around Cambridge.
* Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
* Strong subject knowledge of English and Maths at KS3 level.
* Experience working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, and other needs.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one (support provided).
This role involves:
* Planning and delivering engaging sessions for children working below expectations.
* Using behavioral strategies to ensure engagement.
* Understanding the child's needs and interests to create a child-centered learning approach.
* Assessing pupils, providing feedback, and planning next steps.
