Finance Business Partner
Hertfordshire (Hybrid 2 days in the office)
Circa £65,000 + Excellent Bonus Up to 30% + Healthcare
SRM has a fantastic opportunity to join this market-leading employer of choice, which continues to grow beyond a revenue approaching £1 billion.
The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and managing the budgetary requirements of the business through effective financial management, reporting, and forecasting. The role also involves fostering a culture of continuous professional development within the team, supporting, motivating, and managing performance effectively.
More detailed duties are outlined below.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and coaching a team of 5, including 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and personal development plans.
* Ensuring adherence to consistent, accurate, and timely accounting procedures across wholesale operations.
* Leading the timely, accurate reporting of monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis.
* Participating actively in annual internal and external audits.
* Producing cost centre profit and loss accounts and supporting budget owners in review and management of data.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
* Managing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting the development of business cases for additional resources and funding.
* Conducting data analysis to review and recommend improvements on commercials across a multi-site environment.
* Maintaining the team’s attendance records within company procedures.
* Conducting disciplinary hearings in line with company policies.
* Leading the recruitment, induction, and training of new team members.
* Identifying areas for improvement and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
* Participating in management and department meetings as required.
* Performing any other ad hoc work assigned by the Commercial Finance Manager.
What we are looking for:
* Relevant leadership and management experience, preferably in finance and accounting roles.
* Experience with financial systems.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel.
* Exceptional attention to detail while managing large data sets and working under tight deadlines.
* Confident and influential communicator, capable of building positive relationships at all levels.
* Ability to manage complex personnel and business situations effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
