We’re looking for a Finance Manager in Bradford, United Kingdom
This role will be within Liberty Blume Finance, in the newly created Commercial Finance team. The Cost Manager will support the Commercial Finance director in leading cost tracking and analysis across Liberty Blume. The role will work with the existing Management Accounts team and finance business partners to ensure a robust control environment on operating expenditure, providing accurate analysis on headcount costs, licence costs, and other internal/external spend.
The role will be based in the Blume Bradford office (minimum 2 days a week per rota schedule).
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain and improve the cost control environment – ensure effective controls are in place and suggest and implement new controls where appropriate.
* Analyze actual headcount costs and movements – create trackers and reports to ensure confidence in headcount costs, including joiners/leavers and promotions, and articulate impacts on monthly labour costs.
* Monitor and track licence spend – work with the Enterprise Systems team to oversee software and service licence expenditure, ensuring monthly actuals are accurate, POs are raised and receipted timely, and spend by supplier is understood.
* Purchase Order Monitoring – ensure POs are accurately tracked and receipted, and monitor GRNI balances within Blume monthly.
* Conduct detailed spend analysis by supplier, supported by Management Accounts, to identify trends and ensure the integrity of actuals and accruals/prepayments.
* Collaborate with Business Partners to design monthly cost reports including headcount, supplier spend, travel, and expenses, to be produced by Management Accounts.
* Work with Business Partners to ensure they understand their actuals to improve forecasting processes.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Accounting or controlling qualification.
* Experience working within a complex matrix organization.
