FINANCE MANAGER ​ BIRMINGHAM CITY FOOTBALL CLUB FOUNDATION - Transforming the city through the power of football. ​ Join us at an exciting time of growth and transformation as Birmingham City FC continues to make waves on the world stage. We are proud to be “ more than football .” ​ Are you looking for a finance opportunity where you can make a difference not just in the workplace? ​ We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join the Foundation management team and lead the daily financial operations whilst contributing to the Foundations ongoing growth and development. The role will help to provide insight into business performance and assist stakeholders with decision making. You will support the preparation and analysis of the Foundation’s annual financial performance. Working with the Senior Leadership team to help shape the financial planning and implement robust financial controls. You must be able to demonstrate how you have help to develop and coach others in understanding of financial procedures. You will possess strong financial expertise, sharp analytical abilities and a genuine passion for using sport to drive positive change in the community. ​ Key Responsibilities include: ​ Day to Day Accounting: Using Xero to oversee financial processing. Managing petty cash, reconciliation, purchase requests, invoices, timesheets. Reconciliation with Fundraising CRM system including Gift Aid Payroll: Managing the Foundations outsourced payroll function and all aspects of payroll. Liaising with HR to ensure all starters and leavers are correctly processed. Quarterly Reporting: Preparation of management accounts, updated forecasts, cash flow and balance sheet reports. Create and maintain finance committee. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to prepare and manage the annual budget cycle including drafts, mid year review and year end accounts. Year-End Financial Reporting: Prepare end of year accounts in accordance with FRS102 and SORP. Support the Board with timely submission to the Charities Commission and Companies House. What we are looking for in you: ​ Highly numerate with strong analytical ability Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with both financial and non-financial management Methodical and diligent with a willingness to work toward and manage tight deadlines.
