1. Leading the design, development and delivery of regular and ad-hoc insights to inform operating strategy and execution priorities across the COO function
2. Partnering with senior stakeholders to assess current operating performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and evaluating investment cases
3. Translating complex data and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for the COO and leadership team
4. Building frameworks, dashboards and reporting mechanisms to continuously monitor performance against target operating model objectives
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Technology, Risk and Operations) to ensure alignment and delivery of strategic priorities, ensuring line of sight from insight through to delivery
6. Developing data-driven business cases to support operating efficiency initiatives, technology transformation and operating model design
7. Taking the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance
8. Ensuring that appropriate prioritising, planning, resourcing and contingency for customer issues are integrated into programme and resource plans so they are central to delivery and aligned to Legal & General’s commitment to put customers at the centre of our business and deliver good customer outcomes
QualificationsWho we're looking for:
9. Educated to degree level desirable but not essential, with relevant experience in financial services and/or similar regulated fields
10. Proven experience (7+ years) in strategy, insights or business analysis within insurance, financial services or a related industry
11. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and synthesise insights
12. Track record of influencing and partnering with senior executives to drive strategic decision-making
13. Knowledge of operating models, process improvement and operational transformation programmes
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distil complexity into executive-level insights
15. Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
16. Advanced proficiency in data visualisation and analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence senior stakeholders and a broad range of individuals across various functions
