New Business Development Manager
C-SAM, a division of Jonas Software (an operating group of Constellation Software Inc.) provides industry-leading Asset Management and Rental software to the Oil &Gas and Energy sectors.
POSITION:
The New Business Development Manager is responsible for selling our Software, Services and occasional Hardware, and reports to the Managing Director. It will be the New Business Development Manager’s role to ensure that all agreed sales targets are met, or exceeded, in their allocated market.
The New Business Development Manager will generate new business through direct selling to leads (both provided and sourced), cold calling, conducting sales campaigns and networking with colleagues and contacts in the industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of C-SAMs product portfolio and awareness of competitor products
2. Maintaining an awareness of industry trends and reporting back to team
3. Learn, adopt and adhere to the company sales guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This includes maintaining and developing the Company’s CRM database in accordance with company standards and developing accurate, high quality and professional sales documentation and correspondence templates
4. Assist with devising and implementing lead generation activities, as required. Qualify, develop and manage a lead through to sales conversion
5. Respond to and follow up all sales enquiries using appropriate methods as per the SOP
6. Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline of sufficient size and appropriate stage of the buying cycle to enable achievement of agreed sales targets
7. Ensure all monthly sales targets (KPIs) set by management and agreed on in advance are met or exceeded. This will necessitate some or all of the following activities:
8. Identify the needs and wants of a potential customer and map a solution to meet these needs
9. Present the Company solution without misrepresentation solutions and associated products in person or over the Internet
10. Handle objections and alleviate risks from potential sales opportunities
11. Prepare and maintain New Business sales opportunities
12. Negotiate and close sales
13. Maximise profit on all potential sales opportunities
14. Provide excellent customer services to clients over the phone or in person
15. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
16. Establish and maintain strategic relationships, alliances and networks within industry (or any other vertical market) as well as with other key stakeholders to generate sales leads
17. Attend industry trade shows as required
18. Participate in regular team meetings
19. Perform any other duties related to the promotion, sales and delivery of the products, or related third party products, as directed by the management team from time to time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
20. Experience selling software solutions within the compliance industry (ideally gas, oil and renewables)
21. Degree or relevant qualification is desirable
22. Proven record of over achievement of sales targets in new business is essential
23. Relevant professional sales training and methodology
24. A moderate to high degree of computer literacy and technical competency.
25. Excellent work ethic
26. Demonstrable evidence of organising customer accounts and projection implementation
27. A desire to solve customer problems
28. An ability to maintain focus and deal appropriately with knock backs
29. Strong negotiation skills and ability to close sales
30. Experience of managing dotted line / virtual teams to meet deadlines
31. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills
