Product Quality and Compliance: Ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all products entering the business within specific allocated categories. This includes verifying that products meet UK and European Safety. Standards, align with Screwfix's Quality Manual and Kingfisher policies. Supplier Audits: Conduct initial and recurring audits of suppliers against the Screwfix Supplier Audit document to ensure required levels of performance are achieved. Utilise ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training to implement best practices in auditing. Conduct continuous improvement audits to ensure that vendors are implementing best practices and meeting Screwfix's quality standards. Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Planning: Identify non- conformances during audits/ product approval and develop corrective action plans to address issues and prevent them from reoccurring. Monitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure effectiveness. Product Approvals: Manage product approvals for new and existing products, ensuring they are suitable for Screwfix’s markets. Collaborate with Kingfisher Group and internal Commercial teams to assist in new product development and regulation compliance. Be responsible for product development and compliance for Banner Access to Sourcing (BATS) projects. Regulatory Compliance: Work cross-functionally to manage the implementation of amendments to regulations and product standards to ensure that all products Screwfix sells remain in compliance. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes. Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as the SME for the internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance of products. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of audits, non-conformances, corrective actions and product compliance. Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Experience of product regulation and compliance for both UK and EU markets, ideally in a large retail or consumer goods business. Auditing experience, ideally to an internationally recognised standard. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training is highly desirable. Technical background with a level of product knowledge. Ability to prioritise and maintain workload to specific deadlines. Must be a team player, energetic and able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with drive and self-motivation. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately. Flexible and adaptable with an eye for detail. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge are essential.
