A leading multinational organisation is looking for a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a corporate / commercial lawyer to provide vital legal support to strategic business initiatives, collaborating with senior stakeholders and regional counsels to lead and shape complex projects from initiation to completion. Key Responsibilities: Lead on corporate matters, from due diligence and structuring through to negotiation and closing, with an emphasis on protecting the organisation’s interests. Shape critical business decisions with senior stakeholders, covering project scope, strategy development for works councils, and addressing legal risks in key areas, including environmental law, employment, and commercial contracts. Assess, obtain, and challenge external legal counsel’s advice on high-stakes issues, ensuring practical alignment with business strategies. Manage legal aspects of significant transactions and operational activities, supporting cross-functional teams and coordinating with Senior Legal Counsel and external advisors as needed. Skills and Experience Required: Qualified solicitor with 4-7 years post-qualification experience, Proven background in a corporate team within a leading law firm and/or in-house setting, with a broad understanding of commercial issues and strong experience in drafting, negotiation, and communication (both written and verbal). Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities, with a proactive approach to delivering legal advice and clear solutions within business timelines. High level of legal analysis and commercial judgement, with a keen attention to detail and a balanced, practical approach to managing risk. Business-oriented, self-motivated professional able to manage multiple priorities independently.
