Electrical Service Engineer - Heavy Industrial & Power Generation
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering company supporting heavy industry and power generation clients across the UK. This is a field-based role focused on fault finding, maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of industrial electrical systems. Approximately 90% of work is within one hour of Brentwood, with occasional overnight stays. This position would suit a Maintenance Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Commissioning Engineer or Power Generation Engineer looking for a varied service role.

Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on industrial and commercial systems
Maintenance, breakdown repair and reactive service work
Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
Inspection and testing in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Support during planned outages and shutdowns
Workshop-based electrical overhaul work when not on site
Deliver high levels of customer service on-siteRequired Skills & Qualifications
Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (preferred)
City & Guilds 2360 (Electrical Installation)
City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition
City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing
Strong knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations
Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis
Experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, utilities or power generation
Knowledge of low voltage (LV) systems
Experience with prime movers, generators and Balance of Plant (BOP) desirable
Ability to work independently in a field service environment
Strong communication and customer-facing skillsIdeal Background
