Position: SENDCO Location: Wokingham Contract: Full time Salary: Will be paid to scale Start Date: As soon as possible We, GSL Education, are seeking to appoint an outstanding, experienced SENDCo who has high expectations and believes that all pupils can and deserve to succeed. The position is due to commence as soon as possible and would require the SENDCo to work alongside, and be line managed by the current Assistant Head Teacher for Inclusion. SENDCO Main responsibilities Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEND or a disability Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies Have a strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEND or a disability across the school, monitoring and reviewing the quality of provision through the use of agreed methodologies Work with early years providers, other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals, and other external agencies where required The SENDCo will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people and follow school policies as well as the staff code of conduct.
