This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone starting their career in bid writing to join NCHA. We prepare bids, grant applications, and tenders for housing, care, and support services for vulnerable adults.
As part of the Business Development Team, you'll work on projects across the organization, liaising with internal and external partners. The role offers a broad view of our operations, making each day varied and interesting. Whether writing method statements, modeling budgets, or supporting specifications for new housing developments, this role is a fantastic first step into the professional world.
Note: This is not a sales position.
Responsibilities
You will participate in a structured 12-month graduate training program, gaining practical experience, professional development, and networking opportunities with peers and external agencies. You will be responsible for writing grant applications and bids, acquiring extensive knowledge of the housing and social care sectors to build your career. Upon completing the program, you are encouraged to apply for full-time, permanent positions to continue your career with us.

Candidate requirements
We seek curious, motivated, and enthusiastic learners who pay attention to detail and want to build a career. You should have an interest and knowledge of current issues in social housing and support services for vulnerable adults. Excellent literacy, comprehension, IT, and numeracy skills are essential. Previous work or voluntary experience demonstrating common sense, interpersonal skills, and professional relationships is valued. Ideally, you will have graduated within the last five years with at least a 2:1 in a relevant subject and/or experience delivering health, care, or support services to vulnerable adults.
Working hours and additional info
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with at least three days in the office at Clifton. Travel to services across the East Midlands is expected; a driving license and vehicle are advantageous.
