SHEQ Officer - Environmental Services (6-9 Month Contract)

We're working with a well-established organisation in the hazardous waste and industrial services sector to recruit a SHEQ Officer for a key operational site in Southampton. This is a 6-9-month contract designed to provide crucial support during a period of internal transition-ensuring consistency in safety performance, environmental compliance, and operational standards across the site.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Day-to-day SHEQ support on a complex, regulated site.
* Environmental compliance, including permitting and reporting.
* Oversight of incident/near-miss systems, audits, and risk assessments.
* Working closely with operations to maintain site safety standards.
* Supporting engagement with external regulators and internal teams.
What We're Looking For:
* Background in environmental compliance, waste, scientific, or high-hazard industries.
* Strong understanding of COMAH, EPR, or other major permitting frameworks.
* Confident delivering both operational support and reporting/admin elements.
* Available to start at short notice.
