Salary: £125,000 (FTC 12 months, Inside IR35)
Hours: Full-Time (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
About the Role
You’ll be accountable for the successful delivery of a diverse and complex IT portfolio, overseeing programmes that span multiple geographies and business units. You’ll lead a high‑performing IT Projects team and mature the organisation’s PMO capability—enhancing governance, tools, processes, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and deliver the global IT portfolio, managing KPIs, risks, dependencies, budgets, and third‑party relationships
* Lead and evolve the IT Project Management Office, driving improvements in governance, reporting, and delivery frameworks
* Ensure projects are delivered with predictability, quality, and financial control, while tracking benefit realisation
* Conduct gateway reviews with senior leadership to validate business cases and rollout plans
* Manage supplier performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals
* Champion modern risk and opportunity management techniques across the portfolio
* Coach and develop the IT Projects team, fostering innovation and excellence
* Align IT initiatives with business priorities through proactive communication and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; ITIL and APM qualifications desirable
* Proven success leading large, complex portfolios across global organisations
* Deep knowledge of project governance, delivery methodologies (Agile, Lean, Hybrid), and stakeholder engagement
* Strong command of project tools and techniques, with a hands‑on approach to leadership
* Exceptional communication, decision‑making, and organisational skills
* Ability to motivate and influence teams across multiple geographies
