Research Associate in Carbon Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications

Overview
We seek a Research Associate to investigate carbon nanomaterials for biomedical applications. You will conduct independent research in synthesis, optimisation, characterisation, catalytic analysis and biological testing.
Responsibilities
* Design and execute experiments across synthesis, optimisation and characterisation of nanomaterials.
* Analyse catalytic performance and assess biological interactions.
* Write scientific papers and reports for international journals.
* Participate in conferences, workshops and industry collaborations.
* Supervise HDR students and engage with industry partners.
Qualifications
* PhD in material science, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or related nanotechnology area.
* Track record of publications and conference presentations.
* Experience in synthesis, characterisation, catalysis and/or bio‑applications of carbon nanomaterials.
* Independence and limited supervision; teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
* Commitment to UNSW values and policies.
* Health and safety training knowledge.
Employment
* Salary Level A – $113,911 to $121,838 per annum + 17% superannuation.
* Full‑time, fixed‑term 12 months, possibility to extend.
* Location: Kensington, Sydney, Australia.
