Science teacher

Job Description:

We are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Science Teacher to join our dedicated Science department in Burton-on-Trent. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher seeking greater flexibility, such as parents returning to work, those nearing retirement, or educators with portfolio careers. The position begins in September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science lessons and supporting students academic progress. Days and hours can be negotiated to suit the right candidate, and there is scope for additional responsibilities if desired.

Responsibilities:

-Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

-Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.

-Track and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback to ensure academic growth.

-Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and promotes high standards.

-Contribute to curriculum development and participate in department planning and evaluation.
