Lunchtime Supervisor – Part-time, temporary and ongoing from June 2026

This Lunchtime Supervisor role offers the opportunity to work part time within a supportive primary school setting on a temporary, ongoing basis. The Lunchtime Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring pupils are safe, well supervised, and supported during lunchtime periods. This role is ideal for someone reliable and caring who enjoys working with children and contributing positively to the school community from June 2026 onwards.
Duties as Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Supervise pupils during lunchtime in dining halls, playgrounds, or outdoor areas
* Promote positive behaviour and safe play during break times
* Support pupils with routines and transitions during lunchtime
* Encourage inclusive play and positive social interaction
* Respond appropriately to minor incidents or concerns
* Communicate effectively with teaching and support staff
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
* Uphold safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities
Ideal Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable
* Calm, patient, and approachable manner
* Ability to manage behaviour positively and fairly
* Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Willingness to commit to a part‑time, temporary and ongoing role
