Our client, a leading company in the heart of Sheffield (Darnell) is looking for an experienced Senior Warehouse Operative, who will be responsible for providing an efficient materials management system through the receipting, storing, and despatching of materials, goods, and products to feed business operations and meet customer demands.
Main Duties:
* Carry out prestart checks on all operational equipment and report any damage or defects to the warehouse manager.
* Loading and unloading of vehicles.
* Take delivery of goods into the warehouse in accordance with the company delivery specification and check for missing or damaged items.
* Accurately book goods into stock using the computerised stock system
* Sort and store materials/items onto racking and shelving and accurately record the stock location on the computerised stock system
* Pick items from throughout the warehouse and prepare and complete warehouse orders for despatch.
* Update computerised stock systems to ensure stock records are accurate
* Replenish the warehouse pick face and update the stock system accordingly
* Remove waste from the warehouse as required ensuring waste goes into the correct waste stream and maintaining housekeeping to a high standard
Skills/Experience:
* Must have previous Senior Warehouse Operative experience
* Must have experience with Microsoft, Excel, Explorer, and office
* Must have a good understanding of warehouse metrics including O.T.I.F requirements
* Must have Forklift experience with a valid licence
This is a full-time site based role. Hours are Monday-Friday 11am to 7:30pm
