Up to £45,000 Plus Package
Our client, an established maintenance contractor based in the South East, is looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their planned works division.
As a business, they have a turnover of over £50 million per annum. They currently deliver day‑to‑day repairs and maintenance and planned maintenance projects across the South East. With a number of long‑term contracts already secured and further exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline, this is an incredible opportunity to join a reputable and established business with long‑term security and career prospects.
They ideally seek someone with 2+ years experience as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor; they would also consider an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a step up.
Responsibilities
* Cost planning
* Closing out and setting up contracts commercially
* Liaising with the operational team to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
* Reconciling cost/value reports and profit forecasts
* Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
* Approving sub‑contractors and supplier payments
* Attending and chairing progress meetings with clients
* Regular on-site visits
* Overseeing P&L with operational leads
* Cash flow management
