Project Coordinator – DEA Location: Hybrid – Expectation to work from our Cardiff office twice per week, with occasional site visits as required Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (full-time) Contract: Permanent, full-time. About the Role We’re looking for a qualified DEA to join our Retrofit Coordination team as a Project Coordinator. In this role, you’ll help deliver Medium Term Retrofit Plans (MTRPs) that meet the PAS 2035 standard – and support our wider mission to decarbonise homes at scale. Your work will combine technical accuracy with project coordination, helping ensure every plan is clear, compliant, and tailored to each home. You’ll collaborate closely with Retrofit Coordinators and technical colleagues to produce high-quality documentation and guide projects from assessment through to delivery. If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about sustainability, this could be a great fit. How You’ll Help You’ll play a key part in ensuring retrofit projects meet the highest standards. That includes: Supporting delivery of PAS 2035-compliant projects Reviewing technical surveys and retrofit assessments for accuracy and completeness Filling in survey data gaps using SAP-compliant assumptions or online sources Producing clear, logical technical write-ups, covering: Recommended measure order Sequencing logic Assumptions and caveats Remedial works Condition issues and retrofit history Creating and maintaining MTRPs using internal tools Revising plans in response to feedback or updated guidance Collaborating with technical colleagues to resolve complex property issues Uploading project data to the TrustMark Data Warehouse Reviewing post-installation documentation for technical accuracy Tracking delivery KPIs to support planning and performance Supporting on-site inspections where needed Staying informed on changes to PAS 2035 and SAP standards Identifying and suggesting process improvements for plan creation What You’ll Bring We’re after someone with strong technical knowledge, a methodical mindset, and a clear commitment to high-quality work. You’ll likely have: Qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), or equivalent experience in retrofit or energy efficiency A solid understanding of PAS 2035 and how it applies to retrofit projects Experience working with housing stock data and condition issues Confidence using Excel at an intermediate level (including pivot tables, charts, lookups, Power Query) Experience producing and reviewing technical reports Familiarity with SAP methodology and the TrustMark framework (desirable) A full UK driving licence You’ll thrive in this role if you: Enjoy working independently and as part of a team Are comfortable analysing technical information and drawing clear conclusions Can manage your own workload and meet delivery targets Have excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset Are passionate about environmental impact and want to help shape a low-carbon future More Information Diversity: We actively welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities. Working Hours: Full-time at Sero means 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, worked flexibly between 7am and 7pm. If part-time works better for you, let’s talk – we care more about outcomes than set schedules. Location: You’ll need to work from our Cardiff office twice a week and attend site visits as needed. The rest of the time, you can work flexibly from wherever suits you best.
