Sous Chef - Contract Catering
Monday to Friday | Daytime Hours
We are currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs to join our contract catering teams across Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham.
The Role
As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food in a professional contract catering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs seeking a stable work-life balance with no evenings or weekends.
Hours
* Monday to Friday
* Shifts between 07:00 - 16:00
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
* Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal menus
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
* Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
* Supervising kitchen staff and supporting team development
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
About You
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
* Experience within contract catering, education, business & industry or similar settings is desirable
* Passionate about fresh food and quality service
* Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
* Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain)
