Sous Chef - Contract Catering Monday to Friday | Daytime Hours We are currently recruiting experienced Sous Chefs to join our contract catering teams across Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham. The Role As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, fresh food in a professional contract catering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs seeking a stable work-life balance with no evenings or weekends. Hours Monday to Friday Shifts between 07:00 - 16:00 Key Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal menus Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management Supervising kitchen staff and supporting team development Ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards About You Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up Experience within contract catering, education, business & industry or similar settings is desirable Passionate about fresh food and quality service Excellent organisational and teamwork skills Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer Daytime hours only - evenings and weekends off Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Opportunities to work across reputable contract catering sites Locations Newcastle Gateshead Durham Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
