Secondary schools across Gateshead are looking to appoint dependable Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare exam venues before students arrive
2. Supervise students during examinations in line with regulations
3. Distribute and collect exam papers and materials securely
4. Ensure examinations are conducted fairly and without disruption
5. Report any irregularities to the lead invigilator or exams officer
6. Support students by maintaining a calm and focused environment
Requirements
7. A responsible and professional attitude
8. Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
9. Good written and verbal communication skills
10. Flexibility to work on a casual basis during exam seasons
11. Experience working in schools is beneficial but not required
Additional Information
12. Work is typically offered during GCSE and A-Level exam periods
13. An enhanced DBS check is required prior to appointment
