Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEMH 1:1 Tutor – Maths & English
Location: Secondary School, NG5 Hours: Daily, Part-Time Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Tutor to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 10 student in Maths and English. This role is based in a secondary school in NG5 and involves working closely with the student to overcome barriers to learning and help build confidence and skills.
About the Role:
You will deliver personalised, focused tutoring sessions in Maths and English, tailored to meet the student’s unique needs. Your support will play a vital role in improving academic progress and boosting emotional resilience, enabling the student to engage more fully with their education.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with SEMH students, preferably in a 1:1 setting
* Strong subject knowledge in both Maths and English at secondary level
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
* A flexible, calm approach to supporting a student facing barriers to learning
* Commitment to working daily for a few hours, ensuring consistency and progress
