Overview
Role- Behaviour Support Assistant – Location Stockport. Teaching Personnel are currently requiring a Secondary Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive team and help support many students. This role offers full time hours and will be looking to start asap, it is a great opportunity to support students with additional behavioural needs in classroom and social settings. The school is situated in Stockport making it central to various public transport links and there is also access to the staff car park.
The pay for this role will be around £95 per day dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
* Support students with additional behavioural needs in classroom and social settings.
* Work closely with students to implement behaviour management strategies.
* Provide an inclusive and positive learning environment and support students in their development.
* Implement individual behaviour plans and contribute to students’ development.
* Build relationships, demonstrate patience and compassion when dealing with challenging behaviours, and work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements
* Previous experience supporting children and young people with behavioural issues is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to build relationships and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
* Ability to work well as a member of a team.
