SG Technologies - part of the Neo Performance Materials Group, is a global leader in the production of high-performance magnetic components and assemblies. Our products are shipped worldwide to high end automotive and consumer products customers such as Bosch, Caterpillar, and Yasa.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced HSE Specialist to join our team and help drive a strong safety culture across the organisation. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace, while fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement across the site.
Responsibilities will include:
Implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Develop and enforce HSE policies, procedures, risk assessments, and contractor safety processes
Manage fire safety, hydrogen handling, and emergency preparedness, including training and drills
Oversee industrial hygiene programmes, including chemical/metal exposure risk assessments and air sampling
Ensure environmental compliance, including permitting, waste management, and disposal processes
Lead HSE training initiatives and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the organisation
Conduct incident investigations, audits, and performance tracking to drive continuous improvement
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
NEBOSH General Certificate, NCRQ, or equivalent qualification
Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations
Excellent communication, engagement, and influencing skills
Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
Work pattern:
Full time 37.5-hour week Monday to Thursday 8.30am 5pm, Friday 8.30am 2.30pm.
After successfully passing probation, you will be eligible to use our flexitime system working around a core hour system with the potential to work a 9-day fortnight.
