An Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their Science Technician team this September. The successful Science Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 to 5. As a Science Technician, you will ensure that staff and students have the resources and environment needed for practical, engaging science lessons. Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons
* Assist in demonstrations and practical work under teacher supervision
* Maintain laboratories, prep rooms, and equipment in a safe and tidy condition
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals
* Manage stock levels, order supplies, and maintain inventory records
* Support students during practical work where appropriate
What We’re Looking For:
* A background in science (A-level or degree preferred)
* Previous experience in a lab or school environment is desirable but not essential
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive, flexible, and supportive attitude
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
