This involves designing, developing, delivering, and embedding software solutions to address complex business issues, and providing technical leadership within the Business Technology department.
It’s a relaxed hybrid work style, offering flexibility on work location, with the option to work from either the Ipswich or London office as needed.
The Role:
* Architecture Design and Review: Collaborate closely with digital platform owners, internal technology team leads, and architects to identify, define, and deliver appropriate technology solutions aligned to business needs. Provide architectural expertise to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles and best practices. Actively manage change initiatives impacting shared services, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal service delivery. Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to validate that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements. Represent the technology programme delivery team in interactions with other segment technology teams and enterprise architecture groups, ensuring strategic alignment and coherence across initiatives. Assist in problem resolution and support the development team through consultation and problem research. Hands-on development may be required to demonstrate component selection and prototyping.
* Innovation and Technology Leadership: Identify emerging technology trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organisation’s products and services. Drive initiatives that enhance the technical capabilities of the software portfolio. Assess third-party solutions for capabilities gap fit.
* Governance and Standards: Facilitate and nurture an Architecture Community of Practice to promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams. Own and manage the service catalogue, ensuring it is accurate, current, and reflective of all shared services in the service-oriented architecture. Participate and recommend prioritisation through the project implementation process.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and pipeline of work, and ensure the architecture supports these requirements.
