Position: Senior UX Designer
We are seeking a Senior UX Designer with comprehensive end-to-end UX skills, adaptable to different project needs. You should understand continuous discovery and product iteration principles, be comfortable with ambiguity, and proactive in user research and data collection. Your pragmatic approach and expertise in balancing user needs with business goals will be vital. You will execute hands-on design work, advocate for design strategy within our digital assessment portfolio, and improve user experiences across products and customer journeys. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and reporting to the Lead Designer will be key aspects of this role.
Location
1-2 days per week onsite at our Abingdon head office, with occasional travel for user research.
Responsibilities
1. Lead UX strategy and roadmap for a core assessment product.
2. Design and prototype solutions focusing on user needs.
3. Coordinate with offshore teams for feedback, feasibility, and design reviews.
4. Conduct user research, analyze data, and generate insights.
5. Engage with users to understand needs and translate them into solutions.
6. Collaborate with development teams to turn prototypes into products.
7. Facilitate workshops and produce design assets like user journeys, workflows, personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
8. Engage stakeholders and advocate for excellent user experience.
9. Share best practices within the design community.
Experience and Skills
* Proven experience as a UX or product designer within cross-functional teams.
* Strong user-centric design approach and familiarity with recognized design processes.
* Proficiency in Figma or similar tools and experience with design systems.
* Advocacy for accessibility and ownership of design projects.
* Ability to adapt design approaches to different contexts and interpret UX metrics.
* Excellent communication skills for presenting and explaining designs.
* Collaborative and strategic mindset, proactive stakeholder engagement.
