About the Role: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our inclusive and nurturing team at a range of schools in and around Birmingham. The successful candidates will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life and receive the tailored support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays. * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. * Support pupils in developing their social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence. * Assist with classroom activities, preparation of resources, and maintaining a positive learning environment. * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and other professionals. * Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers. * Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils at all times. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting is essential. * A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is desirable. * Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills. * A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a variety of learning needs. * An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided if necessary). Desirable: * Experience with specific SEN strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton, sensory integration). * First aid training and/or Team Teach certification. * A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
