Partner Financial is collaborating with a fast-growing, market-leading property management group headquartered in London. The company is entering a significant phase of expansion, driven by sustained growth across its residential and mixed-use portfolio and a continued focus on strengthening operational excellence. The successful candidate will join the finance function as a Financial Controller, working closely with the CFO to deliver high-quality financial reporting, ensure strong financial controls, and elevate the accuracy, insight, and efficiency of financial operations across the business. They will take full ownership of the day-to-day finance activities, ensuring results are delivered on time and in line with regulatory standards. This role demands a proactive, detail-driven individual who can identify issues early, implement improvements, and contribute to the development of a best-in-class finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, including revenue recognition, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and board reports.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, VAT, and HMRC submissions.
* Working with and supporting the FP&A lead to manage annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial insight to guide business planning.
* Supervising and mentoring finance team members, ensuring high-quality output and ongoing professional development.
* Implementing and enhancing internal controls, processes, and financial systems.
* Liaising with auditors, external accountants, and other professional advisers.
* Supporting the senior leadership team with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
The Candidate:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
* Experience in financial control, ideally within property, real estate, or similarly complex operational sectors
* Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both detailed and strategic levels
* Solid technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audits
* Confident with finance systems and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence at all levels
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
