Role Overview
As a Trainee Payroll Administrator, you will be trained with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the role. You will be trained on how to process timesheets, get these authorised with clients and then run a weekly payroll.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process payroll for staff on a weekly basis.
2. Calculate and process statutory deductions, including tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions.
3. Maintain and update employee records on the payroll system.
4. Prepare and distribute payslips and P45s.
5. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
6. Handle payroll-related queries from staff and clients.
7. Liaise with HMRC regarding payroll submissions and tax codes.
8. Assist in year-end payroll processes, including the production of P60s.
