Affinity Water - Storage & Process Asset Engineer
Affinity Water has a new opportunity to become a Storage & Process Asset Engineer in our Customer Delivery Directorate.
The Role:
The Storage & Process Asset Engineer will be responsible for delivering routine cyclical maintenance work that aligns with our strategic objectives for storage maintenance, GAC & Membrane replacement programmes. You will support the Storage & Process Asset Lead in delivering these programmes, providing regular updates & identifying delivery risks. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, customers, and our supply chain, is essential to ensure effective communication and collaboration. This role is key to ensuring our maintenance activities are planned and delivered efficiently and aligned with our Regulatory performance commitments.
This role covers the entire Affinity Water supply area, requiring extensive weekly travel. Work location flexibility and a valid driving licence are therefore essential.
What you'll be doing:
* Ensure effective communication with key operational stakeholders, keeping them informed of impacts to service delivery.
* Assist and support the Storage & Process Asset Lead in planning, programming, and optimizing outage activities.
* Manage contractor construction activities in accordance with Construction Design & Management Regulations, The Health & Safety at Work Act, and NEC3 contracts.
* Provide technical expertise related to construction activities, developing and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and processes.
What you'll need:
* Significant experience managing contractors and subcontractors on construction sites.
* Experience in controlling the quality of materials and workmanship during construction.
* Ability to work at heights and within medium & high-risk confined spaces.
* Degree/HNC qualification in a related field or demonstrable experience in the water industry or similar.
* UK Manual Driving Licence.
