Role Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to oversee and supervise all mechanical & electrical delivery packages on our construction site. Safety is our priority; this role is to oversee the safe delivery of the work packages to ensure compliance with our rules and procedures. The 5BEWC&S Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor reports to the Mechanical & Electrical Construction Manager.
The site team comprises 2 construction supervisors for MEP and 2 for civils, forming a 4-person onsite team. The site operates on a two-shift rota, with hours currently from 0600-1400 and 1000-1800, which may change based on construction needs. Overtime and weekend work are available at additional rates.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily contractor activities
* Host daily attendance briefings and site meetings
* Manage permit to work processes
* Guide site-specific health and safety compliance
* Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
* Review RAMs (Risk Assessment & Method Statements)
* Provide overarching supervision and serve as point of contact for site activities, including civils when necessary
* Update the construction manager on daily progress and ensure daily diaries are maintained
* Report and investigate incidents with H+S team if required
* Supervise isolations and LOTO procedures
* Conduct site inspections and client visits
* Manage project inductions
* Collaborate on design input and constructability issues with technical departments
* Motivate and support team to meet project schedules
* Inspect completed work for quality and compliance
* Interpret design schematics for proper installation
* Ensure work completion on schedule and in accordance with codes
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
* Apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical competencies
