Support Worker Essential Requirements: Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, colleagues, and professionals Previous experience in a childcare setting, providing direct care and supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and procedures Proficiency in administering medication and providing personal care (training provided) Aptitude for facilitating various activities and outings to promote mental and physical stimulation Flexibility to work weekdays during school breaks/holidays and weekends Desirable Skills: Understanding of the needs of children with disabilities, complex health needs, and autism, and their carers Familiarity with local services for children with learning disabilities Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and experience working with carers Experience in the care sector, including supporting individuals to engage in activities Proficiency in Makaton sign language and ability to drive a minibus Relevant professional qualifications such as NVQ or QCF Ready to Make a Difference?
