About You
We seek an experienced senior consultant with a proven track record to contribute to significant, complex projects across various sectors. You will work independently and proactively, ensuring project success, collaborating with senior management, and fostering your growth within our firm.
Your responsibilities include owning key project workstreams, leading workshops with design teams, and mentoring junior staff. You will engage with clients to deliver projects within timelines and budgets, navigating changes as needed. Critical thinking skills and autonomy are essential. Occasional travel and outside-standard hours work may be required.
You will contribute to innovative projects and benefit from our structured Competency Framework to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct energy and carbon modelling analyses, including Part L thermal modelling, operational energy calculations, and thermal comfort assessments.
* Lead client and design team workshops, ensuring clear communication.
* Develop sustainable design strategies and produce energy and sustainability statements for planning applications.
* Manage and deliver key project workstreams.
* Participate in R&D initiatives to keep industry knowledge current.
* Support training and development of junior team members.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements
Please note that expertise in all listed skills is not expected; candidates should have strengths in some areas and willingness to develop others.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
* Understanding of Building Regulations Part L.
* Experience with energy, carbon, or comfort calculations using dynamic simulation tools like IES VE.
* Ability to conduct non-domestic energy assessments for planning.
* Experience in HVAC modelling for operational energy assessments is desirable.
* Willingness to apply for security clearance.
