A national RBCA is now recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector to oversee new-build developments in the vicinity of Huntingdon. The home-based role features a variety of Class 2A and B applicable schemes.

Building Inspector responsibilities
* Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
* Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
* Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
* Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
* Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
* Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
* Attend client meetings as required
Building Inspector requirements
* Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process)
* Construction-based experience
* Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion
* Interpersonal skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental xsngvjr concerns
* IT literate
