Category Manager
Location: Brighton (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)
Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a large organisation based near Brighton who are looking for an experienced Category Manager to take ownership of strategic sourcing and procurement across key areas within the business.
What You’ll Do:
* Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies to deliver value, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with senior managers and stakeholders to shape demand and optimise supplier performance.
* Lead full lifecycle procurement activity, ensuring compliance and commercial best practice.
* Identify and deliver cost efficiencies through standardisation, demand aggregation, and tail spend reduction.
What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience managing categories such as construction, engineering, or asset purchase/hire.
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Understanding of relevant procurement regulations
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
