A well‑established independent garage with 15 years of successful trading, known for our friendly customer service and high‑quality workmanship, are looking for an enthusiastic and personable SERVICE RECEPTIONIST to be the welcoming face of the business, and ensure our customers receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House
* Meet and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring they feel welcome and supported.
* Create, explain, and manage estimates and invoices using the company systems (TechMan).
* Handle customer queries both in person and over the phone.
Administrative & Financial
* Take payments and issue receipts.
* Prepare and send monthly statements for account customers.
* Maintain excellent organisation of customer records and bookings.
Social Media & Communications
* Manage and update the business’s social media channels.
* Assist in promoting services, special offers, and business updates.
Scheduling & Parts Management
* Book in customer jobs, ensuring efficient scheduling for technicians.
* Source required vehicle parts at competitive prices.
* Liaise with suppliers when necessary.
Operational Support
* Update customers on the progress of their vehicle throughout the repair process.
* Work closely with technicians to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication.
* Occasionally collect or deliver customer vehicles as required (full driving licence preferred).
This role requires an excellent communicator with strong customer service and organisational abilities. Confidence using computer systems accompanied by a friendly, approachable, and professional manner are all really important. Front of house motor industry experience would be a great advantage. A driving licence is essential.
