Job Description

The Social Work Resources team is dedicated to promoting social welfare and providing effective care and support to vulnerable people across the region.
You will work within the Physical Disabilities team in Adults and Older people, delivering community‑based occupational services on behalf of Social Work Resources. This role aims to promote, restore, or maintain functional independence for people with disabilities and ease the caring situation in line with occupational therapy principles, legislative responsibilities, and departmental policies.
Responsibilities
* Provide community‑based occupational therapy services for people with disabilities.
* Promote, restore, or maintain functional independence.
* Ease the caring situation for service users in accordance with occupational therapy principles.
* Work as part of the Physical Disabilities team in Adults and Older people.
Eligibility & Legislative Requirements
* Must be eligible to work in the UK and meet the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.
* Applicants must pass a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007 check; they must not be barred from working with children or adults.
* Required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before a formal offer.
* Applicants born outside the UK or who have lived abroad for 3 or more months in the past 10 years must provide an overseas criminal records check that is translated into English and confirmed to be free of pending criminal proceedings.
