Breedon Group is a leading vertically-integrated international construction materials group in Great Britain, Ireland and the United States, providing material for the construction industry as well as offering surfacing solutions.

We are looking for a Training Coordinator to join the Learning & Development team at Breedon for a fixed term period to cover maternity leave.

This position provides training administration support to Breedon Group, including coordination of training and administration on the Learning Management System.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for booking training requests for all technical training on the T&C Matrix for GB Materials currently (including health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF related development).
2. Own the training request form, review and improve based on user feedback as required
3. Be the SME for health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF related development
4. Ensure that training requests are actioned to SLAs. POs authorized by the appropriate cost centre and training records updated on the LMS
5. Provide coordination and administration for the scheduling and booking of courses booked via training request form and for issuing joining instructions and training certification via the LMS
6. Ensure that scheduled training maximizes cost efficiencies by liaising and reviewing with providers working with the Head of Learning
7. Ensure that internal and external providers adhere to key dates and contracts as agreed.
8. Ensure that course details and descriptions are kept up to date in the LMS, including renewals and certifications. Manage new certifications and ensure accurate set up in the LMS
9. Ensure certificates and scheme cards are scanned and recorded on the LMS and issued for relevant course completions.
10. Process training related to purchase orders, processing payments against activity. Report any issues or variances between actual and expected costs.
11. Proactively manage certification renewals, liaise with managers and book as required based on certification timeframes
12. Provide H&S First aid and Mental Health First Aid training activity reports on a monthly basis to Payroll for payments.
13. Source appropriate providers to meet routine & ad-hoc H&S training needs.
14. Collate appropriate feedback on training provider’s performance, as required
15. Oversee the Breedon Training Centre sub-contractors, including hotel bookings, venue bookings, POs and invoicing
16. Key contact for training providers supporting health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF
17. Regular data reporting and analysis as required
18. Add training completions to the LMS as received on the Course Request Form from the business
19. Answer queries received in the Shared Learning Mailbox
20. Maintain and organise regular reviews of the T&C matrix by in scope roles against the LMS and check vendors in place to support training needs
21. Answer all training queries and liaise with other departments in the business e.g. Payroll, HR for FAAW payments etc.
22. Generate a monthly report for business training hours and distribute for ITrent upload, as well as upload hours onto the LMS
23. Support with the T&C project
Expectations:
24. to comply with all aspects of the Breedon Compliance Policy
25. to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
26. to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
27. to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
28. to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
29. Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
30. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Outlook and Excel.
31. A willingness for further training and occasional travel as the needs of the business demand.
32. Learning Management software experience desirable
HR Competence:
33. Excellent administrative skills
34. Knowledge and use of Learning Management Systems advantageous
35. Good business understanding and excellent organizational know-how
36. 2-3 years experience in an administrative role
Qualifications:
37. Preferably a university degree but not essential.
38. Experience in H&S or human resource/ H&S or administration
