Manufacturing Manager This extremely well respected UK brand is offering a rare and exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader to join our team at their site in the West Midlands. As Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead and develop the Stores, Planning, Tray Wash, and Dispense teams, ensuring they provide a seamless, efficient, and compliant service that supports the smooth running of our manufacturing operation Position: Manufacturing Manager Location: West Midlands Package: Negotiable Key Responsibilities * Champion a safety-first culture across the manufacturing services function. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies. * Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments (COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR). * Lead, coach, develop, and motivate the Manufacturing Services team. * Drive accountability and performance to ensure team KPIs are consistently met or exceeded. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. * Work closely with the operations leadership team to define and execute regional technical strategies. * Monitor team and departmental KPIs; implement improvement plans as needed. * Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimise service delivery and internal customer satisfaction. * Ensure strong compliance with UK H&S legislation and food safety standards. * Manage both internal and external audits; ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. * Maintain rigorous control over stock and consumables used in production processes. * Oversee inventory processes including stock control, cycle counting, and rotation (FIFO/FEFO). * Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to avoid shortages and minimise waste. * Develop and manage detailed production schedules in coordination with planning and operations teams. * Adapt to changing priorities to ensure operational targets and delivery commitments are met. Experience * NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or equivalent). * Food Safety Level 3 (or above). * Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. * Experience with ERP systems for inventory and production planning
