Job Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Business Support Officer to become an integral part of our dedicated employability team.

Providing an excellent customer experience is at the heart of our delivery approach, and this role is crucial in delivering our service. You will be the first point of contact for clients arriving at our offices and serve as a key ambassador for our organisation and services.

Your responsibilities will include greeting clients and visitors, ensuring they sign in and understand the facilities, updating Job Vacancy Display boards with the latest local Hot Jobs, managing room bookings, maintaining the centre's presentation, and supporting administrative processes to ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.

We seek someone with previous experience in an office environment and face-to-face customer service. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to create a welcoming environment are essential.

This role supports our range of Employability & Health contracts, including the Restart Scheme.

* Salary: £24,242 to £26,345 p.a. (dependent on experience)

Location & Hours

Location: Chester (office-based)

Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Closing Date: 20 August 2025


Key Responsibilities

* Front of house assistance with enquiries via face-to-face, email, and telephone.
* Support with managing the centre/office to ensure it is fit for purpose.
* Coordinate access to office facilities and liaise with Facilities Management.
* Maintain health and safety records.
* Update job vacancy display boards daily.
* Lead participant forums to gather feedback for service improvement.
* Provide administrative support to the team.
* Handle personal data in accordance with data protection policies.


Skills and Experience

Essential

* Experience in an administrative role
* Customer and supplier interaction experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable

* Knowledge of the employability industry
* Full driving licence
* Experience in advice & guidance environments
